How To Organize Coupons!

How To Organize Coupons

There are two ways to coupon, the binder method and the clipless method. Try a combination of both! This method will allow you to have all your coupons on-hand, and you won't have to spend hours cutting and filing!

You'll need a 3-ring binder, clear sheet protectors, and a zipper pouch (for scissors, pens, etc).

Keep the newspaper insert in tact and write the date on the front. If you have extra copies, keep them all together. Print a list of the coupons included in the insert, and paper clip your list to the inserts. File the whole package in one sheet protector. When planning a shopping trip, you'll clip the coupons you need. And, if you find a sale while shopping, you can scan the list of coupons and clip as needed. Cross off coupons as you use them, and highlight the coupons you'll want to use (even if the product doesn't go on sale before the expiration date).

You can keep copies of magazines in the sheet protectors as well. Tear out the list of coupons located in the table of contents, and file that in front of the magazine. That way you can easily scan the list of coupons in that issue.

Don't clip your printable coupons right away! File a stack of printable coupons in a sheet protector, and clip as needed. When you print a coupon online, make a small notation next to the coupon indicating where you printed it from. This will be helpful if the product goes on sale in two weeks and you want to print more coupons. Use letters such as C for coupons.com, S for smartsource.com, FB for facebook page, and so forth.
